Industry Average Pricing for Hot Tub Removal

Here’s a breakdown of what homeowners typically pay across the industry:

Basic Hot Tub Removal – $300 to $600 for a 3-4 person hot tub in an accessible location.
Larger or Built-In Hot Tubs – $600 to $1,000 if the hot tub is oversized or requires partial demolition.
Difficult Access Fees – $100 to $300 extra if the hot tub is in a tight space, requires demolition, or has limited removal access.
Disconnection Services – Some companies charge $50 to $150 to disconnect electrical and plumbing components. JM Junk can do this but we are NOT electricians and just cap off the electric wires.
Insulation – This is one of the biggest cost variations. Insulation can be VERY messy and turns a hour project into 3-4 hours with all the cleanup and added demolition. Insulation comes in what JM Junk has token as 3 levels
- LVL 1 – No insulation – No added cost
- LVL 2 – 2″ sprayed insulation under the fiberglass, this one isnt so bad as the mess is minimul and we dont need to do any added cuts. This will add $95-$200
- LVL 3 – This is a beast of a hot tub. the mess that can come from this WILL get everywhere unless you hire a good company that keeps the work area VERY clean. If you have a pool nearby this is a even larger issue. If its 100% filled in underneath and there are 2 types of insulation on these.
  - 1 Hardened foam – this will add 60-70% of the cost of the hot tub itself
  - 1 Loose foam – this will add 70-80% of the cost of the hot tub itself.
